Keelyn’s bio

Birth Place: Calgary, AB

Jersey Number: 30

Playing Position: Midfielder

Signing Date: April 18, 2025

Keelyn and her twin sister Taegan began playing soccer when they were three years old, kicking
the ball in their backyard together with their mom and dad. Mature beyond their years while
developing through soccer’s pathway in Calgary and Vancouver, the sisters were part of the
Canadian Under-15 National Team who participated in the CONCACAF tournament in 2022 and
won the silver medal.

The Stewarts gained their first international experience as 10-year-olds, when they were
selected to train with the boys Barca Academy in Barcelona. They returned to Barcelona as 11-
year-olds to hone their skills and values, both on and off the field, while playing on an all-boys
team at the Barca Academy World Cup. More recently, the girls have trained and played in
Germany over the last two years with the SC Freiburg’s Under-17 and Under-20 teams. Thanks
to their mother’s Welsh roots, they’ve also recently trained and competed with the Wales
Under-20 National Team.

Some of Keelyns career highlights are playing for the u15 Canadian National Team and winning
a silver medal with them at the CONCACAF tournament in 2022, playing for the u20 Wales
National Team, and trialing for SC Freiburg u20 women’s team.

Did You Know… Keelyn’s role model is a professional soccer player named Rodri who started his
career with Villareal where he spent time living and attending university. He had to balance his
football with his school schedule to ensure he kept up with his studies as well as perform on the
field. Despite all his success in the last couple of years with Man City, he remains humble.
Keelyn learned that high performance soccer players can attend university while still playing at
a high-level from Rodri. She admires Rodri’s work rate on the field while remaining a good and
humble person off the field…on off days Keelyn enjoys baking and cooking, watching soccer,
and going for a walk or hiking with her dog…her favourite quote: “Hard work beats talent when
talent doesn’t work hard.”
